July Tryouts: As many of you know the OVR has added a early tryout period this year in July in addition to the usual October/November dates. We have scheduled July tryouts for July 8th & 9th. 10u & 11u will be 10 am-12 pm and 12u & 13u will be from 12-2 pm on the 8th of July. 14u & 15 u will be 10 am-12pm and 16u & 17u will be on the 9th of July. There are still some questions to be answered in regard to these tryouts. We do plan, as a club, to make early contract offers to many of our current players to re-sign with the club on or after June 1st per the OVR rules. We are seeking clarification from the OVR as to whether we can make those offers prior to June 1st and just have the contracts signed on June 1st or if we have to wait. The OVR does not have an answer to this yet and they say they are meeting next week to discuss/decide. The players who receive and accept these offers will not be required to tryout. The OVR will also have a tryout membership available on May 1st for those who did not play this season. Those who did play will not need to purchase a membership as their current membership is valid until August 1st. So, in a nutshell, we are not sending out the link for the July tryouts until we get answers to these questions but wanted you to have the dates so you can make plans. We also intend to schedule a make-up tryout the week following the original dates but have not locked it in yet. More info to follow.
October/November Tryouts: We have tentatively scheduled our fall tryouts as follows: October 21st for 10u, 11u & 12u. October 28 for 13u & 14u. November 5th for 15u, 16u & 17u. Times are TBD.
Individual and Small Group Training: We do intend to offer some small group and individual training. We are unsure right now exactly how we will handle this and have kicked around a few ideas. We will decide shortly as to the best way (days, times, costs) to offer this and will have something out in mid-May or so.
